Selection criteria to address:
- Relevant qualifications in project and program management or demonstrated equivalent professional experience
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary program management techniques, including the use of software to monitor and report on a portfolio of projects
- Superior skills in relationship management, influencing, negotiating, consulting and communicating, both oral and written, on complex issues
- Superior skills in project design, management and review, and demonstrated experience in successfully managing large and complex projects or programs
- Advanced problem solving, conceptual thinking and analytical skills
- Issues management skills and ability to work within short timeframes on sensitive and complex matters and provide high level advice
- Demonstrated capacity to lead and motivate a team of project support and project and program management professionals
- Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, staff development, performance management, conflict resolution and early identification of unacceptable workplace behaviours and taking appropriate action
