Selection Criteria to be addressed:

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications * in an appropriate discipline and/or extensive workers compensation and injury management experience and expertise. (*Formal qualifications may be offset by extensive management experience and proven expertise in injury management; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience).
  2. Extensive working knowledge of the Workers Compensation legislation as well as proven working knowledge of the operations of NSW Treasury Managed Fund.
  3. Experience in managing a Workers Compensation/ Injury Management team that includes a payroll function.
  4. Well-developed oral and written communication, negotiation, mediation and conflict resolution skills.
  5. Experience in providing expert advice to managers and employees on all aspects of injury management.
  6. Demonstrated skills in effective case and claims management in workers compensation and liability management and proven ability to direct complex legal issues.
  7. Experience in the use of InjuryConnect or similar injury management data base, Health Roster, Stafflink and Qlik Sense reporting.
  8. Demonstrated superior problem solving, analytical and research skills to develop and implement solutions to complex issues through recommendations, strategies and policies.
