- Tertiary qualifications in a health related field or demonstrated experience in the pre-hospital care environment with sound knowledge of the NSW Ambulance and Health system or a combination of both qualifications and experience in the management and implementation of cardiovascular initiatives in a complex health service delivery environment. Excellent leadership skills with highly developed and effective organisational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to develop high level reports and briefings; with a demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with senior clinicians and healthcare managers.
- Demonstrated experience in change management. Excellent project management skills, implementation and evaluation skills; in addition to highly developed analytical, research and problem solving skills with an ability to make decisions based on sound judgements
- Capacity to manage multidisciplinary teams and liaise with all levels of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated capacity to represent NSW Ambulance at high level cardiovascular clinical forums.
- Excellent strategic planning and policy development skills
- Experience in developing and monitoring budgets
- Demonstrated people management skills, including providing staff support, staff development, performance management and the early identification of unacceptable workplace behaviours and taking appropriate action such as investigation, resolution and monitoring of harassment and bullying, grievance issues and conflict resolution.
