Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business management, economics or related discipline or other relevant experience. Membership of a relevant Professional Association is strongly desired.
- Prior experience working in senior finance roles in a large organisation.
- High level oral and written communication, negotiation, liaison, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both within the District and externally.
- Proven ability to help non-financial staff to understand their costs and resources to assist them in managing the resources for which they are responsible.
- Prior experience in developing and leading financial improvement projects, especially in the IT, procurement or asset areas.
- Ability to undertake challenging financial analysis across large data sets using various analytical and/or statistical techniques.
- Proven ability to maintain accuracy of data and reporting of financial and other business information.
