Selection Criteria to be addressed: 

  1. Must hold as a minimum a bachelor degree as a Social Worker, Counsellor, Sexual Assault Worker or Welfare Officer, or a Psychologist with a four year degree in Psychology and eligibility for registration with respective professional organisations.
  2. Demonstrated high level skills, experience and use of high level professional judgement in providing responses to victims of domestic and family violence and their children and knowledge of health service delivery and referral options for these clients; including legislative and policy context
  3. Demonstrated advanced understanding of the dynamics and effects of domestic violence on victims and their children and best practice models for working with victims of domestic and family violence
  4. Significant clinical experience working in domestic and family violence, child protection and /or sexual assault service delivery setting, with demonstrated experience providing assessment, case management, counselling, advocacy and referrals
  5. Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of issues surrounding domestic and family violence in Aboriginal communities and CALD communities
  6. Demonstrated capacity to work in partnership and consult with key multi-disciplinary and interagency stakeholders to provide a victim and child protection focussed response to domestic and family violence
  7. Demonstrated high level interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; including interagency negotiation skills, liaison, ability to provide timely and relevant advice and consultation, demonstrated experience in working with Microsoft applications
  8. Current NSW Driver's Licence
