To apply for this position, please address the following Selection Criteria

  1. Be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. This is considered a genuine occupational qualification as per Section 14 (d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
  2. Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or social science-related discipline, or extensive relevant experience in a high functioning team leadership role.
  3. Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and the ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team.
  4. Demonstrated ability to perform basic research and analysis from numerous sources; prepare accurate documentation to support plans, projects or briefs; continue to review progress against goals or expectations and identify and escalate variance from strategic and operational plans.
  5. Demonstrated commitment, knowledge and understanding of the health issues and key policies that impact Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and communities and demonstrated understanding of the issues that impact on rural and remote service delivery.
  6. Demonstrated competency in relation to the use of information and communication technology, software/programs for task including word processing, emailing, internet searching, data entry, presentations, payroll, voice recording, procurement and recruitment; with a willingness and ability to readily develop proficiency with new systems and processes.
  7. Demonstrated ability to organise workload, including the ability to effectively prioritise competing demands and delegate responsibilities as appropriate.
  8. Current licence to drive in NSW with the capacity and willingness to travel regularly, which will include overnight stays.
