Selection Criteria


  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a health promotion, public health, or equivalent education discipline.
  2. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in planning, implementing and evaluating health promotion initiatives particularly relating to physical activity, nutrition or obesity prevention.
  3. Knowledge and experience working with at least one of the Healthy Children Initiative settings: centre-based childcare services (e.g. pre-schools and long day care services), primary schools, high schools or group programs for children & families or other community-based settings particularly with diverse communities.
  4. Demonstrated ability in working as part of a team and developing and maintaining partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders including government and non-government organisations and communities.
  5. Demonstrated high level computer, written and oral communication skills (including the ability to conduct presentations to a rage of audiences).
  6. Effective organisation and problem solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  7. Understanding of issues that impact on service delivery in relation to social disadvantage, Aboriginal and CALD communities.
  8. Current unrestricted NSW Class C or P2 driver’s licence.
