Selection Criteria:
- Relevant health qualifications deemed by the employer and/or demonstrated experience in working with injecting drug users within a range of harm reduction settings.
- Knowledge of the harm reduction approach to drug and alcohol issues and demonstrated experience in the provision of interventions with drug dependent clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated high level of communication including verbal, written and project management skills.
- Ability to plan and implement health promotional activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to implement quality improvement processes.
- Demonstrated ability to provide brief interventions to clients with drug use issues.
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
