Health and Security Assistant - Temp FT

- Current NSW Security Licence Class 1A (minimum)
- Current First Aid Certificate (to be updated as required)
- Demonstrated communication skills both verbal and written (tested at interview) at a level proportionate with the demands of the position, and communicate both orally and written, at a satisfactory level, with emphasis on skills in de-escalation of conflict situations.
- Ability to work independently, unsupervised, but also effectively as a member of a team, including the capacity to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary clinical environment requiring security intervention.
- Knowledge of Manual Handling and Safe Work Practices, Work Health & Safety requirements, Infection Control, Waste Management and Equal Employment opportunities Legislations.
- Ability to maintain a physically active routine, encompassing all the requirements listed in the job demands checklist
- Must be able to work rosters that cover a seven (7) day week twenty four (24) hour service including being available for on calls as rostered. On calls meaning returning to BDH within a forty five minute timeframe.
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
