Selection Criteria:
  1. Experienced in media management, journalism or public relations, TV, newspaper or radio production with professional writing skills
  2. Ability to identify risk and provide quality advice around contentious issues to Director Corporate Communications and senior executives
  3. Demonstrated ability to identify and creatively develop story and content opportunities for articles, social media or media opportunities
  4. Demonstrated experience working with the media either in a newsroom or in a communications team
  5. Demonstrated ability to strategically plan, manage and coordinate communication campaigns, corporate events, VIP and media visits
  6. Ability to manage a small team and provide appropriate mentoring and performance appraisal
  7. Ability to manage a team and juggle competing deadlines, while ensuring the team is able to instantly respond to new and emerging media issues or story opportunities
  8. Demonstrated understanding of new ways of communicating to audiences, social media trends and an interest in breaking news
