Selection Criteria
- Relevant tertiary qualfications and or/experience in frontline harm reduction services
- Knowledge and understanding of the health and social welfare issues affecting vulnerable communities including, people who inject drugs, people who sex work, people experiencing homelessness, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQIA+ people and ‘at-risk’ young people
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to harm minimisation
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate, manage and evaluate projects, to meet deadlines and to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders eg community members, non-government organisations, LHD Executive, government agencies and other health workers
- An understanding of health promotion and community development frameworks
- Willingness and ability to provide frontline healthcare work in the unpredictable and sometimes volatile environment of KRC, KRC South and Outreach services for day and evening shifts
- Good verbal communication skills and competence in the use of email, Microsoft Word and data entry
- Current NSW Drivers License and willingness to work across SESLHD with primary locations based at Kings Cross and the Sutherland Hospital
