To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Holds relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience as deemed appropriate. Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education/clinical teaching and developing clinical programs based on adult learning principles.
  3. Proven ability to negotiate and advocate the learning needs of students so that they are supported and welcomed as learning members of the nursing team.
  4. Demonstrated autonomy in decision making, professional knowledge and judgement in providing person-centred care, whilst facilitating a learning environment for staff and students.
  5. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve and/or escalate conflict as appropriate, when it arises.
  6. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive to the patient/consumer, carer, student and staff.
  7. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers, students and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness to care needs.
  8. Demonstrated understanding and participation in the implementation of organisational change, risk management, work health and safety, and quality improvement in the workplace.
