Environmental Health Officer

What you will bring to the role

1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Health (or equivalent), or relevant equivalent work experience, or a combination of study and work experience
2. Demonstrated experience in managing a range of environmental health issues
3. Demonstrated knowledge of NSW Public Health related legislation and experience in its use to promote and protect Environmental/Public Health
4. Effective management skills including highly developed negotiation skills consistent with working in a senior cross sector role
5. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and ability to analyse, investigate, develop practical solutions and report on often complex and politically sensitive environmental health and public health issues
6. Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with multiple government and other stakeholders,
7. Advanced computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software (e.g. data recording and processing, Microsoft suite, Geospatial surveillance), and a willingness to learn new programs.
8. Current drivers license (with a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position)
