Selection Criteria to be Addressed:

  1. Tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership and significant clinical experience as follows: i) Clinical Psychology/ Forensic Psychology – accredited Master’s Degree or higher in clinical or forensic psychology plus full registration as a psychologist and endorsement to practice as a clinical or forensic psychologist with AHPRA.
  2. Demonstrated experience in the provision of comprehensive psychological assessment and evidence-based intervention in people with substance dependence or disorder. In addition, demonstrated capacity to act as an independent consultant in the specialty area of addiction.
  3. Demonstrated competence in family focused, evidence based clinical assessment and intervention with a complex caseload in a community setting. This includes specialist knowledge of co-morbid mental health and drug and alcohol problems, intra-familial child abuse and neglect, and contemporary family focused integrated treatment including risk assessment and safety planning.
  4. Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a wide range of service providers and well developed understanding of the interface between services.
  5. Experience in, or commitment to, working with individuals and families from Indigenous backgrounds and/or diverse cultural backgrounds.
  6. Demonstrated skills and experience in providing clinical supervision.
  7. Evidence of an advanced level of verbal/written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to apply these skills to contribute to the Whole Family Team ongoing evaluation, monitoring and enhancement of service delivery including report writing.
  8. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
