- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work and eligibility for membership to Australian Association of Social Workers, with current or previous clinical experience and a commitment to maintaining a professional skills and knowledge base.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical experience and understanding of domestic and family violence including a range of domestic and family relationships, and the impact of trauma on adults, young people and children.
- Demonstrated advanced experience and skills in assessment and therapeutic interventions, including counselling and group work, for adults, children and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence.
- Demonstrated advanced experience and skills in the assessment of and response to child protection issues and sexual assault in the context of domestic and family violence, including knowledge of relevant policy, procedures and legislation.
- Demonstrated advanced experience and skills to work cross-culturally and to facilitate cultural safety in service provision, and to advocate for culturally appropriate responses from other agencies and professionals.
- Experience in quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving service delivery, including planning, development, implementation, evaluation and professional education and training.
- Well-developed time management skills with excellent written and verbal communication, including report writing skills.
