Selection Criteria
- Recognised qualification in Pharmacy, current registration with AHPRA with no restrictions on scope of practice and commitment to own ongoing professional development.
- Demonstrated operational management experience within a complex health care environment.
- Proven ability to provide leadership, strategic direction and apply strategic processes in the management of departmental resources and services.
- Demonstrated knowledge of professional and clinical issues relating to Hospital Pharmacy services with expert professional knowledge of methods, principles, practice and skills across client groups and work areas.
- Demonstrated high-level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated experience with drug and therapeutics committees, medication safety initiatives, quality use of medicines and risk management strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement processes and the application of evidence based practice within Pharmacy services.
- Ability to provide high level advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence.
