  1. Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse/Midwife (Division 1) and extensive experience in leadership and management within a health care setting at senior management level and relevant tertiary qualifications.
  2. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills with the ability to empower, motivate and manage employees to achieve service and professional goals through service improvements and the utilisation of change management principles.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of clinical redesign and contemporary management practices and their applicability to modern health service delivery and the ability to lead the implementation of evidence based, best practice models of care within a complex multidisciplinary team environment.
  4. Demonstrated ability and achievement in the management of financial resources and multidisciplinary workforce requirements (including profile management) of a large department/ directorate within industrial frameworks and organisational guidelines.
  5. Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, advocacy and communication skills that support the development of a positive workplace culture.
  6. Comprehensive knowledge of and commitment to health system safety and quality, risk management, change management, innovation, professional practice development and research.
  7. Understanding of and commitment to the effective and meaningful engagement of clinicians in the decision making process that impact on positive patient outcomes.
  8. Current NSW drivers licence.
