Skills and Knowledge
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in medicine, nursing/midwifery, allied health or other relevant discipline with >3 years management experience within a relevant field.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing and motivational skills which demonstrate a capacity to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Conceptual and innovative problem-solving skills for managing conflicting priorities and developing timely, successful recommendations and advice on policies, strategies and solutions.
- Extensive practical knowledge of clinical systems and health services, including understanding of human and other factors impacting on patient safety.
- Superior planning skills, with experience in coordinating and implementing long term strategic and business plans and major projects. Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and analyse potential risks and issues at a strategic level and implement solutions through operational planning.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in clinical practice improvement methodologies.
- Proven effectiveness to lead, build organisational capability and responsiveness, steer and implement change and deal with uncertainty.
