Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and experience in strategic planning, program design and implementation of population health/health promotion programs and relevant legislative and other frameworks for health promotion.
- Demonstrated people management experience to plan, manage and evaluate all aspects of medium sized professional teams including motivating and coordinating professional staff, setting meaningful organisational and personal goals and implementing performance development programs
- Demonstrated experience in the application of public health/health promotion practice, relevant legislative and other frameworks and methods for health promotion including research, evaluation, quality improvement and evidence informed management of complex health issues.
- Ability and experience in negotiation with senior managers in the health system and external partners.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in establishing and maintaining collaborative partnerships to achieve health goals.
- Demonstrated high-level oral and written communication skills in all settings and circumstances, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills including a variety of writing and editing styles (reports, research & evaluation, briefs, media, translation of information for promoting health promotion work)
- Working knowledge or understanding of the WSLHD community context.
