Skills and Knowledge
- Dental qualification eligible for registration as a Dentist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- A minimum of five years (full time equivalent) clinical experience as a dentist in Australia encompassing excellent operative skills, treatment planning and patient management skills in general dentistry
- Proven record of providing support and advice to other members of the oral health clinical team, concerning assessment and treatment of complex dental cases and the management of children
- Demonstrated ability in identifying opportunities for improvement in clinical practice, develop and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with staff
- Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a digital dental environment, including but not limited to electronic oral health records, digital imaging and telehealth systems
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive and professional interpersonal communications with the ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary clinical team
- Strong commitment to work in rural NSW and understanding of issues related to working with rural communities
- Demonstrated commitment to provide regular outreach clinical services, including an ability and willingness to travel for work purposes, including driving long distances and overnight stays. Evidence of a minimum NSW Class C Drivers Licence is required
