Selection Criteria 

  1. Appropriate tertiary qualification and/or relevant equivalent professional experience.
  2. Ability to resolve problem, prioritise workload and meet deadlines, both autonomously and within a team in an environment with minimal supervision.
  3. Strong experience of delivering Business Intelligence solutions using: Microsoft or other Business Intelligence tools; Possess advanced awareness of Business Intelligence and analytical concepts, data visualisation techniques and good understanding of the Datamart /data-warehouse.
  4. Experience in interpreting and presenting data to enhance awareness and understand different audiences including government decision-makers, contract managers and service providers.
  5. Demonstrated high level technical expertise and experience in data systems, assessing information requirements, data extraction and analysis, activity and performance report creation and benchmarking.
  6. Advanced computer skills required to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data. Proficiency in the use of SQL Server including high level skills in Transact SQL (TSQL) is required. Proven capacity to learn, develop and apply technical skills within the SQL Server environment. Exposure to or experience working in a data warehouse environment including data modelling and development of dimensional models.
  7. Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and consult effectively and work with staff at all levels as part of a team within a busy health environment
  8. Evidence of a current unrestricted driver's licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
