Selection Criteria

  • Bilingual/bicultural [i.e. fluent in English and at least one of the following languages: Arabic, Bengali, Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) Farsi, Greek, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Korean, Macedonian, Mongolian, Nepali, Rohingya, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, Vietnamese or Urdu.
  • Experience and/or qualifications in a health or welfare or community services area.
  • Awareness of key issues, including health needs in the the nominated language/ethnic community.
  • Knowledge of community agencies and networks specific to nominated language/ethnic community.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills both in English and the nominated language.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 acceptable) and willingness to travel to locations within the SLHD and SESLHD areas.
  • Sound computer skills including word, email software and the internet.
