Contracts Officer

1. Qualification in procurement /contract management, tender management /tender administration and/or demonstrated equivalent work experience in a large complex NSW Government organisation.
2. Demonstrated experience in reviewing contracts, data and reporting mechanisms using a range of analytical tools and techniques and providing advice together with sound analytical skills to interpret information, prepare written reports, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business and customer focused solutions.
3. High level computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and proficiency in using databases, preferably Oracle, iProcurement and PROcure. The position will also require advanced Microsoft Excel skills and be able to create pivot tables, complete formulas and graphs in an advance capacity.
4. Demonstrated organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with a capacity to prioritise competing demands and achieve results with a customer focused approach utilising a team work approach.
5. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills including, engagement, collaboration, negotiation and influencing skills and the capacity to build, maintain and use relationships with customers, stakeholders and vendors.
6. Demonstrated sound knowledge and practical experience implementing procurement initiatives, including the capability to plan, manage change, and improve performance.
7. Proven capacity to interpret and provide advice as to the proper application of government policies relating to procurement and contract management.
8. Demonstrated ability to analyse opportunity and risk and identify strategies to maximise outcomes for the organisation.
