Clinical Stream Manager - Surgery, Peri Operative, Anaesthetics, Trauma Services and Emergency Medicine

Selection Criteria:

1. Current registration and authority to practice (AHPRA) with an appropriate tertiary management qualification or working towards same and/or equivalent experience.
2. Broad clinical and operational management experience at a senior level within a complex health care environment including strategic planning, the development and implementation of business / operational plans.
3. Demonstrated understanding of NSW Health’s Strategic Directions, Quality and Safety Framework, priorities and performance indicators and their impact on surgical access, patient flow and access to health care services, and national and state Nursing and Midwifery priorities.
4. Extensive knowledge of best practise surgical and emergency department patient management practice and its delivery and models of care including whole of hospital patient flows, operating theatre management, waiting list management and episode funding principles.
5. Demonstrated higher level skills in data review, data interpretation, report writing, consultation processes and managing processes in clinical practice service development.
6. Demonstrated experience and leadership in the application of change management principles and achievement of measurable outcomes utilising clinical redesign principles.
7. Excellent written, oral communication skills, preparation and presentation of reports to senior executives and high level computer skills including Microsoft office suite of programs.
8. Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence.
