Selection Criteria
- Capacity to provide assessment, case management and individual/ group psychological and counselling interventions for alcohol and other drug using clients.
- Well-developed skills in the implementation and evaluation of evidence-based psychological behaviour management and counselling interventions for patients with mental health and/or substance abuse problems.
- An ability to liaise with a range of relevant agencies and departments of the Local Health District and other relevant stake holders.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, demonstrated ability to operate in a high volume environment with proven capacity to prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Good negotiation and delegation skills.
- Proven high quality written and verbal communication skills, especially with regards to maintaining accurate clinical note records and providing client handovers as required.
- Demonstrated ability and skills using Microsoft office programs and electronic communication tools.
- Well-developed skills in the development, and facilitation of group programs.
