  1. Four year degree in psychology from a recognised tertiary institution and a Masters degree or higher in Clinical Psychology. Other AHPRA endorsed area of clinical practice in Psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position may be considered. [Postgraduate qualifications must be of no less than two years full time duration (or part time equivalent) and include professional clinical coursework, clinical training and supervised placement experience as core components.]
  2. Current full registration with the Psychology Board of AHPRA together with an unencumbered Australian Driver's Licence.
  3. Psychology Board of Australia endorsement in Clinical Psychology, or eligibility to enrol as a registrar in clinical psychology. Other AHPRA endorsed area of clinical practice in Psychology that the employer deems relevant to the functions of the position may be considered.
  4. Experience in conducting standardised psychological assessments.
  5. Experience in cognitive behavioural therapy or other evidence-based interventions with adult mental health patients.
  6. Ability to provide independent clinical judgement.
  7. Sound communication skills and demonstrated capacity to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  8. Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
