Clinical Nurse Specialist - Mental Health GP Clinic

1. Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
2. Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner regulation authority (AHPRA).
3. Relevant post registration qualifications in Mental Health and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of specified post graduate qualification.
4. Demonstrable experience of working collaboratively with consumers to identify and work towards meeting their physical health care goals from a recovery oriented practice framework.
5. Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills including advocacy and negotiation and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
6. Experience working collaboratively and in partnership with key stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated experience in initiating, developing and leading activities to improve clinical service delivery and consumer clinical outcomes.
8. Demonstrated clinical leadership skills, commitment to consumer focused care, and experience in providing complex care in the area of mental health nursing. Advanced skills in computer use and applications such as Windows, work processing and database use and current Driver Licence valid to drive in NSW (or eligibility to acquire).
