Selection Criteria
1. Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and demonstrated ability to actively contribute to the development of clinical practice.
2. Relevant post-registration qualifications with at least 3 years experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
3. Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing specialty clinical practice and service delivery.
4. Demonstrated ability to carry out an extended role in the specialised field.
5. Commitment to contribute to own and the teams professional development, to act as a resource person and mentor to others within the specialty.
6. Demonstrated ability to exercise professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requirements of patients in the specialty field.
7. Demonstrated ability or willingness to develop local procedures from NSW health policy directives.
8. Demonstrated ability to undertake assessment of clinical competencies within the Emergency specialty environment.
