Clinical Nurse Consultant - Specialist Intellectual Disability Health Team

- Current Authority to Practise as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with at least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration clinical experience and post graduate qualifications relevant to area of specialty.
- Demonstrated effective communication including verbal, written and interpersonal skills and advanced information technology skills to provide consultancy services and deliver innovative nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively both independently and as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality improvement, practice development and evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and clinical leadership in the area of specialty.
- Demonstrated personal attributes including resilience, accountability, integrity and ability to manage self.
- Demonstrated ability to identify education needs and deliver education for patients/clients and health care professionals with the ability to travel for work purposes with occasional single or multiple nights away.
- Demonstrated understanding of the health challenges facing people with intellectual disability and the type of reasonable adjustments that need to be made by health professionals to ensure quality health care and improved health outcomes.
