Clinical Nurse Consultant Mental Health Nursing Professional Development Pathway

1. Registered Nurse with current license to practice from the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Minimum of seven years full time equivalent post qualification experience, with at least five years full time equivalent experience in Mental Health, and post graduate qualifications relevant to Mental Health practice.
3. Demonstrated clinical expertise in the delivery of complex recovery orientated, trauma informed and family focused mental health nursing care including the systematic review of clinical practice standards.
4. Demonstrated high level experience in clinical leadership, the development, implementation and evaluation of education and resources for mental health clinicians and other staff focused on evidence based capability enhancement and cultural change.
5. Demonstrated ability to work within a framework of interprofessional and cross agency collaboration with a high level of interpersonal, negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
6. Demonstrated experience in high level research, consumer safety and quality improvement projects including the design, implementation and monitoring of quantitative and qualitative evaluation.
