Clinical Nurse Consultant - Grade 2 - Forensic Services - Drug and Alcohol Services

Selection Criteria:

1. Current unrestricted Registered Nurse registration with APHRA, Division 1 and current NSW drivers licence class C.
2. 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience in drug and alcohol nursing
3. Approved post registration qualifications relevant to drug and alcohol nursing, or other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
4. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and problem solving capabilities and capacity to work within multidisciplinary teams across multiple services.
5. Demonstrated high level clinical skills in assessment, withdrawal, opioid and other pharmacotherapies, psychosocial interventions, treatment planning for clients with complex needs and the capacity to provide treatment to mandated clients with coexisting mental health / drug and alcohol.
6. Experience in leading, developing, delivering, advising and consulting in education / training and the skill development of peers as well as experience in research including program design, implementation and evaluation issues.
7. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement / research initiatives including program design, implementation and evaluation.
