Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 - Aged Care

1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications relevant to the specialty field of Aged Care, with a minimum of three years full time equivalent experience in that speciality field, with a minimum five year’s full time equivalent post registration experience, and a current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
2. Demonstrated clinical expertise and proven ability to provide clinical leadership in the provision, review and development of aged care clinical practice utilising evidence based practice
3. Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and an ability to identify and improve opportunities to enhance continuity of care between the acute services, primary care providers and community based services.
4. Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, present and evaluate education, educational resources, clinical procedures and policies to staff and the community.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently with high level time management, organisational, analytical and problem solving skills
6. Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communication, report writing and research skills including ability to develop policy documents
7. Demonstrated ability to work with stakeholders, and to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice and service provision through planning, quality management and research
8. Current NSW driver’s licence and the ability and willingness to travel long distances with possible overnight stays.
