Clinical Nurse Consultant - Child and Youth Mental Health Service Outreach Support

2. Registered Nurse List A with current ‘Authority to Practice’ with at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in child and youth mental health nursing.
3. Post graduate Masters Level qualifications relevant to this area, for example Child and Youth or Child and Adolescent Mental Health, evidence of significant progress in completing, or a willingness to enrol.
4. Demonstrable high level clinical experience and leadership, competency and expertise in child and youth mental health nursing including experience in provision of triage, risk and broader psychosocial assessment and management of children, young people and their families where the young person has an acute OR severe and complex mental health problem.
5. Demonstrable experience and competency in the development and delivery of educational resources and programs including advanced verbal and written communication skills and advanced computer literacy and information technology skills.
6. Demonstrable leadership skills and experiences as acting as mentor and providing consultancy support to nurses and other health professionals and clinical supervision.
7. Demonstrable experience and ability to initiate and lead evidence based nursing clinical practice development and a commitment to the concept of continuous Quality Improvement Programmes.
8. Current NSW Driver’s License.
