To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. A post graduate qualification in a relevant clinical field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Successfully completed or working towards a tertiary qualification in clinical education and/or clinical training or a current technical qualification in workplace training and assessment
  3. Recent experience as a Registered Midwife in an acute care/hospital environment and in Birthing Unit with accreditation in venepuncture and cannulation and perineal suturing or willingness to obtain same.
  4. Demonstrated understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education / clinical teaching and developing clinical programs based on adult learning principles.
  5. Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
  6. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team.
  7. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
  8. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
  9. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
