Selection Criteria
- Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent qualification accredited by the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) as rendering the holder eligible for membership, registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possess a licence to operate irradiating apparatus under the NSW Radiation Control Act (NSW EPA Radiation Licence).
- Experience in managing a Radiology Department, including staff performance management, equipment procurement, and financial control.
- Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated excellent organisational skills, including goal achievement, workload prioritization, and problem solving.
- Experience in the management and implementation of WHS Principles, quality assurance, and Radiation Safety, including staff radiation monitoring.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare a Department for Accreditation including collation/submission of relevant data.
- Proven ability in the establishment and maintenance of clinical protocols, policies, and safe work practices.
- Experience in supervision of staff and evidence of strong leadership skills.
