  1. Postgraduate degree in Science or Engineering in informatics or genomics or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution.
  2. Demonstrated experience and capability in organising and delivering bioinformatics projects.
  3. Proven proficiency in open source bioinformatics packages for genomic data analysis and working knowledge of relational databases.
  4. Demonstrated experience in multi-dimensional data analysis or visualisation.
  5. Proven ability to manage project scope, monitor project progress and quality, identify and manage project risk and provide appropriate advice to the executive.
  6. Demonstrated strong strategic, organisational and planning skills with the capacity to successfully meet deadlines.
  7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written expression, and the ability to interact with various levels of internal and external stakeholders.
  8. Demonstrated ability to interpret and critically evaluate legislation and regulation related to genomic and health data from an operational perspective and ability and willingness to participate in a seven day rotating roster

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases

This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2020_017 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases. All new recruits must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy.
