- Successful completion of two (2) or more years of training as an undergraduate midwifery student. Note: the applicant must have successfully completed within their pathophysiology subjects’ components that include: shock; compensation; decompensation and hypoxia.
- Good knowledge of basic nursing care including physiologic observations and assistance with activities of daily living
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team
- High degree of reliability and punctuality
- Demonstrated knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control standard precautions
- Computer skills including the ability to use a variety of office and health-related software applications
- Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays
