Essential Criteria:


Vaccination: A
Criminal Record Check: National Police Check and Working with Children Check
Qualification: Pharmacy qualifications conferred by Tertiary Education Institutions e.g Bachelor of Pharmacy. Must satisfy Grade 3 classification as per Health Employees Pharmacists (State) Award.
Registration: Full and unrestricted Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA

Selection Criteria:

  1. Demonstrated excellent communication skills both written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  2. Demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy practice, particularly in the management of infectious diseases.
  3. Demonstrated excellent therapeutic knowledge and ability to exercise a high level of initiative in the application of pharmaceutical principles to clinical infectious diseases (including identification and resolution of problems relating to the use of antimicrobial drugs).
  4. Demonstrated organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work and manage time to meet deadlines.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to effect practice change
  6. Demonstrated skills in information technology: using computer applications including dispensing, database management, accessing medicine information, spreadsheet, and word processing programs.
  7. Valid Driver’s Licence. This position is mainly based at Blacktown Hospital but may involve travelling to various facilities of WSLHD when required.
