- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or willing to undertake same.
- Demonstrated experience as an Allied Health Assistant in a Hospital, Rehabilitation Unit, Occupational Therapy /Physiotherapy/Speech Pathology, Dietetics Service or a facility working with people with disabilities.
- Demonstrated ability to assist in treatment and non-treatment activities or groups under the direction of an allied health professional.
- Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/caseload and to take direction as required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of person-centred care, quality improvement and multidisciplinary team work.
- Availability and capacity to participate in a seven-day rotating roster that includes working all days of the week including public holidays (if applicable).
