Where you will be working
 

Corowa Health Service is a 55 bed facility including 31 residential aged care, 18 acute, 3 ED and 1 Resuscitation bed.  Services include acute, medical, emergency, surgical and aged care. There are also a range of community health nursing and allied health services including physiotherapy, OT, dietetics, speech pathology and drug and alcohol counselling are also provided onsite.

What you will be doing
 

Allied Health Assistants play a vital role in high quality patient care in Murrumbidgee Local Health District  (MLHD). Working under the supervision of an Allied Health Professional, the Allied Health Assistant provides clinical and administrative service as directed by the Allied Health Professional according to NSW Health and NSW Health and MLHD policies, procedures and standards.

 
The Allied Health Assistant is to implement Physiotherapy program/s in Aged Care (4 hours per day 4 days per week)
 

Selection Criteria
 
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or formal commitment to complete this training within 3 years of employment, or relevant qualification and willingness to complete required skill sets.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
