Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. We’re looking for an enthusiastic Allied Health Assistant to help our dedicated team of physicians, physiotherapists, psychologists, dietitians, nurses, and admin staff deliver high-quality, family-focused care.
The Family Metabolic Health Service (FMHS) is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team providing care across paediatric, obstetric, and adult populations through the KidsFit4Future Clinic, the Obesity Prevention and Lifestyle Clinic, and the Healthy Weight Clinic. Serving inpatients, outpatients, and community members across New South Wales—with a focus on the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District—the service delivers individual, group, and family-based interventions both in person and via Telehealth.

What you will bring to the role
- Demonstrated administrative knowledge and experience, computer literacy and effective customer service skills
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or willingness to undertake training) with relevant patient care experience in a hospital setting
- Demonstrated patient manual handling skills, knowledge, and experience
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate professionally and with minimal supervision but also function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities, as delegated
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a clinical service via review of service provision, practice development and/or redesign to improve services, operations, and outcomes
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
