Allied Health Assistant

- Demonstrate an understanding of the role of an Allied Health Assistant within a large organisation. Ability to work independently under the delegation of an AHP and the ability to collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or willingness to undertake this training or other qualification deemed equivalent by NSLHD.
- Demonstrated computer literacy skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and email applications.
- Identify skills and knowledge in the provision of assistant's activities to provide support for, AHPs, clients, families and carers as required.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required) as delegated by supervising AHP.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Current NSW Drivers license.

All NSW Health workers are required to have two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine, as defined by NSW Health. Category A positions are required to provide evidence of having received three doses of COVID-19 vaccine in accordance with the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation (TGA) and meet the requirements of the Occupational Assessment Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy Directive.
Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate.
