How to Apply

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Tertiary qualification as a Registered Psychologist, Social Worker, Counsellor, or Welfare Officer, which provides eligibility for membership with a professional organisation and or current registration with AHPRA where applicable.
  2. Demonstrated clinical skills in assessment, case management and counselling within a drug and alcohol service.
  3. Knowledge of the harm reduction approach to drug and alcohol issues and demonstrated experience in the provision of interventions with drug dependent clients.
  4. Demonstrated skills and knowledge in triage, assessment, providing therapeutic interventions and discharge planning for drug and alcohol clients.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team.
  6. High level of communication skills, including the provision of written court reports within a given timeframe.
  7. Demonstrated knowledge of, and ability to implement quality improvement processes.
