  1. This is an Identified Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander Position. Applicants for this position must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent through parentage, identify as an Aboriginal person and/or Torres Strait Islander and be accepted in the community as such. Exemption is claimed under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
  2. Demonstrated understanding of the issues that impact on the recruitment, retention and progression of Aboriginal staff in large organisations and the opportunities to address them.
  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate and negotiate with local Aboriginal community groups, and external agencies to deliver culturally responsive services
  4. Demonstrated capacity to lead or contribute to quality improvement and professional development of Aboriginal people in collaboration with Non-Aboriginal stakeholders
  5. Demonstrated skills and experience in project management within an Aboriginal community context including project design, implementation, review and evaluation
  6. High level oral and written communication skills including reports, briefs, training resources and presentations
  7. Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office and other computer applications. Intermediate to advance skills in Excel and Word would be highly regarded.
  8. Current unrestricted Australian drivers licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) subject to obtaining NSW drivers licence within 3 months of appointment.
