Qualification: Relevant tertiary qualifications, Community services or equivalent
Evidence of Diversity claim: Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander

 

Selection Criteria:

 

1. Be a person of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent and who identifies as such. 

2. Understanding of and ability to work within the NSW Aboriginal Family Wellbeing & Violence Prevention Strategy and demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and issues affecting communities.

3. Knowledge of issues affecting victims of adult and child sexual assault, child abuse, family violence, racism and discrimination including knowledge and experience of working with Aboriginal people around issues of violence.

4. Ability to develop, implement and evaluate training programs and packages for Aboriginal and mainstream health workers.

5. Front line work experience with Aboriginal families and communities addressing family violence, sexual assault and/or child protection.

6. Competent with word processing programs and email.

7. Current driver’s license valid within Australia and a willingness to travel within NSW.
