- Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and/or other equivalent specialist psychiatric recognition that allows for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a specialist medical practitioner.
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and experience in child and adolescent psychiatry and/or forensic psychiatry.
- Evidence of CME and self-monitoring consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out comprehensive psychiatric diagnostic interviews and develop risk management plans, for the purpose of providing forensic psychiatric reports to the Courts, and other relevant authorities and agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with children and adolescents, their parents/families/careers and other professionals in contact with the patient and the service.
- Demonstrated experience in research and teaching.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use basic computer applications such as email, the intranet, MS word etc.
