We are looking for a qualified health care professional with:
- A bachelor or post graduate degree in Physiotherapy.
- Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and eligibility for membership to the Australian Physiotherapy Association.
- Minimum 3 years’ post-graduate experience working as a Physiotherapist.
- A current unrestricted NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel within NSW for work as required.
The Role
The Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (Justice Health NSW) Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for providing advanced, evidenced-based Physiotherapy services to patients within NSW Correctional Centres. The position will act as the clinical lead for the Justice Health NSW Physiotherapy service and will support the Manger Allied Health, Palliative and Aged Care in physiotherapy service planning and operations.
The Senior Physiotherapist will use high level clinical skills and knowledge to assess and treat patients and will work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient health outcomes in a high secure setting. The position will also provide clinical leadership and supervision to Physiotherapy staff and students and participate in relevant policy and decision-making groups.
Our Locations
The successful candidate will operate primarily in correctional complexes across the Sydney Metropolitan Area in NSW:
- Long Bay Correctional Complex: 14km south of Sydney's central business district.
- Silverwater Correctional Complex: 21km west of Sydney's central business district.
- Francis Greenway Correctional Complex: 5km south of Windsor, Sydney.
