The Role

We are looking for a qualified health care professional with current authorisation to practice as a Primary Health Nurse Practitioner in NSW.

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide primary health care to patients in custody in accordance with best evidence-based practice and organisational policies.

Our Location, Team, and Service

In this role, you will be required to travel to specific correctional centres across Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (Justice Health NSW). These are:

• Cessnock Correctional Complex: located in the Hunter Valley, 151km north-west of Sydney. The Cessnock complex contains minimum to maximum security male offenders and encompasses Cessnock Correctional Centre, Hunter Correctional Centre and Shortland Correctional Centre.
• Kariong Correctional Centre: located near Gosford, on the Central Coast of NSW. Kariong is an intake and transit centre for classified inmates transitioning between Sydney and the NSW north coast. It also houses fresh custody remand inmates awaiting placement.
