Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network is a state-wide Specialty Health Network delivering health care to adults and young people in contact with the forensic mental health and criminal justice systems across community, inpatient and custodial settings.


To develop the necessary skills and competency in medication management and clinical care of patients, with the view to gaining registration with the Australian Healthcare Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a registered pharmacist.

This purpose must be balanced with the need to contribute to the core business of the Pharmacy Department and provide quality pharmacy services under the supervision of a preceptor and the Chief Pharmacist.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.

  1. 1Bachelor/Master of Pharmacy or equivalent degree and eligible for provisional registration with the Australian Healthcare Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Demonstrated clinical pharmacy knowledge and an understanding of its practical application in different healthcare settings
  3. 1Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and all levels of pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals.
  4. Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to use initiative, in particular related to pharmacy issues and managing allocated tasks and duties.
  5. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, and independently when required, to meet team objectives
  6. An interest in a career in hospital pharmacy, and desire to continue in hospital pharmacy post-registration.
  7. Current NSW Driver’s Licence and ability to travel for work purposes
