Justice Health & Forensic Mental Health Network is a state-wide Specialty Health Network delivering health care to adults and young people in contact with the forensic mental health and criminal justice systems across community, inpatient and custodial settings.

 

The Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 (CNS2) mental health provides a high standard of care in the assessment & management of mental health issues as well as discharge planning and transfer of care.
 
The successful applicant must demonstrate strong clinical leadership in the ongoing development & review of treatment planning and clinical review systems for patents with mental health concerns.

  • Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and NSW current Drivers Licence.
  • Three years’ fulltime experience working in mental health and post-graduate qualifications in mental health.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills including excellent computer application skills.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong professional relationships with other key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage complex workloads within agreed timelines.
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and delivery of education programs to both staff and patients.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the values of Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network.
